TRAINING CULTURE

LKM IMSR has various Centers of Excellence (Renewable energy, Building Fire safety) which offer “industry ready” programmes to ensure the employability of students. Further, the Management conducts various programmes which bring courses of Industry relevance to students.

Mandatory Programmes:  As part of the training activity, focused training for Aptitude, Technical Tests, Group Discussions, Facing Interviews are imparted to all the pre-final year students who register with Training and Placement Division. In addition, students are provided with adequate number of online practice test. The Placement Officer regularly contacts many manufacturing organisations and forwards details of eligible students to the industry for campus placement.

The students from final year help the students of pre-final year in preparing them for the actual recruitment. There are two sessions, one during the tenure of the odd semester and the other that continues during the even semester. They hold various activities which include Aptitude tests, Group discussions, Technical tests, Verbal tests and Psychometric tests.

Further, interactive sessions with the students of final year who have been selected by the companies are frequently arranged. Here the students narrate their experiences during the interview process. They give facts / necessary information that would add on students’ preparation.

Optional:

Attending this programme shall certainly enhance their employment opportunities and also admission for overseas postgraduate programmes.

For the above optional programmes students have to pay the prescribed fees for the programme by the trainer and examination conducting authorities.

Offering Project Internship for final year students of PG programmes which enhances the Industrial exposure and practical applications for students.

Apart from these regular workshops are conducted by professionals of the above said fields to fine-tune the skills of the students.
