SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. PRINCIPAL:-

 

  • Principal- Principal is head of the Institute. General Administration of Institute.
  • General administration and overall supervision of teaching programmes.
  • Supervision of students welfare, health and security services.
  • Supervision and guidance of teaching staff including organization of in-service education of staff.
  • Responsibility for organizing workload of staff including teaching assignments.’
  • Guidance and counselling of students.
  • Administrative arrangements for students’ summer training and placement.
  • Recruitment of staff and admission of students.
  • Responsibility for conduct of examinations.
  • Supervision of living conditions of students in hostel.
  • Maintenance of permanent records of students.
  • Preparation of reports (College reports, progress reports).
  • Review and revision of policies, rules, regulations & philosophy of the Institute.
  • Performing public relations duties for the Institute.
  • Procurement of Institute equipments, supplies, stationery.
  • Preparation of budgetary proposals.
  • Supervision of hostel and office staff.
  • Participation in the Institute committee work.
  • Participation in teaching programmes.
  • Supervision of library services.
  • Planning for development of the Institute.

Teaching and learning support

 

  • Develop, design and facilitate learning experiences that are engaging, challenging and informed by pedagogical scholarship and professional practice.
  • Develop and/or lead in the design of the curriculum and of innovative programmes.
  • Design, develop, deliver and review study programmes to comply with standards and regulations.
  • Demonstrate effective teaching and professional practice as measured by student feedback, assessment outcomes and success, peer review and external validation.
  • Apply innovative teaching techniques which create interest, understanding and
    enthusiasm amongst students.

 

 

 

Research and scholarship

 

  • As Principal Investigator, develop research proposals and external funding bids, design and lead research projects, ensuring their effective management and delivery of outcomes.
  • Act as a referee and contribute to peer assessment of research grants and papers.
  • Disseminate research out puts in a form appropriate to the discipline e.g. publication at international level (REF 2* and 3*), conferences and seminars, exhibitions etc.
  • Work in conjunction with others to apply subject knowledge to practice and

 

innovative research

 

Communication, liaison and networking

 

  • Lead and develop internal networks (e.g. as chair)and participate in institutional committees and external networks (e.g.external examiner to other institutions)to foster collaboration and share information/ideas to promote the subject and the University.
  • Disseminate conceptual and complex ideas of a wide variety of audiences using appropriate media and methods to promote understanding.

 

 

 

Academic leadership

 

  • Provide academic leadership within programme areas to ensure courses are delivered effectively or organise the work of a team by agreeing objectives and work plans.
  • Act as line manager (formally or informally) for matters relating to the employment of staff and ensure the work is allocated fairly according to skills and capacity.
  • Appraise and advise staff on personal and career development plans.
  • Contribute and collaborate towards team development,

  1. Librarian:-

 

  • selecting, developing, cataloguing and classifying library resources
  • answering readers’ enquiries
  • using library systems and specialist computer applications
  • management of staff, including recruitment, training and/or supervisiory duties
  • liaising with departmental academic staff, external organisations and suppliers
  • ensuring that library services meet the needs of particular groups of users (eg staff, postgraduate students, disabled students)
  • managing budgets and resources
  • supporting independent research and learning
  • developing IT facilities
  • assisting readers to use computer equipment, conduct literature searches etc
  • promoting the library’s resources to users

 

 

 

  1. Training and Placement officer :

 

 

 

  • Training and placement of the students in the industry/ other user system.
  • Industry Institute Interaction.
  • Arranging Industrial visit of students.
  • To arrange for the placement of the students through campus interviews during their course of study as well as after their passing out.
  • To arrange for expert lecturers to update the students and the staff regarding recent developments in industry.
  • To handle alumni affairs, including maintenance of all relevant details of pass out students and alumni association.
  • To arrange in service training program of the teachers according to update their knowledge and skill to teach the updated/ revised curriculum.
  • To arrange entrepreneurship camps and to motivate the students for self employment.
  • To arrange programmes for guidance and counselling of the students regarding various sources of finance, men and material for self-employment.

 

 

 

  1. Superintendent:-

 

  • Coordination with Directorate of Technical Education / University  and AICTE
  • Drafting letters to University / AICTE / Govt. / HRD / NBA
  • Coordinating with University & AICTE Affiliation work
  • Coordination with all concerned for preparation of Calendars, College Magazines, Brochures, Invitation, Greeting Cards and Advertisement etc.
  • Collection and Maintenance of Department Activity ( MIS Report )
  • Monitoring of all Notice boards
  • Liaison with Police / Panchayat / Labour dept. /other Govt. and private agencies as and when required, with the approval of Chairman
  • Liaison with Office staff

    • Coordination with SC/ST/BC/EBC / Minority /welfare department for Scholarship
    • Group Insurance & Property Insurance Remittance 4. Admission of Students (Convener quota/Management quota)
    • Preparation of Pay Bill for Teaching and Non Teaching
    • All Bank Transactions
    • Liaison with Head Office in Connection with Accounts – Maintained of All Account Books.
    • Payment Regarding Purchase & Maintenance of Accounts
    • Daily Financial Report – Internal & Consolidated for Head Office.
    • Collection of all fees
    • Remittance IT (TDS Amount) of Staff
    • Preparing DD for University / AICTE and other activities
    • Online uploading for student data for scholarship
    • Collection of Students & Staff Certificates as per Norms and Maintenance
    • Maintaining all original certificates of Teaching Faculty & Non Teaching.

 

 

 

  1. Head Clerk:-

 

  • Attendance & Leave Letters Maintenance of Teaching and Non-Teaching as per Rules
  • Faculty / Staff vacation details: Maintaining of Teaching & Non – Teaching staff Attendance Registers Outward Register – Student Reports & Correspondence and other Correspondence
  • Maintenance of all Record Related to Xerox like Servicing, Accounts Maintenance, Keeping of Record and Filing the Matter Related to Xerox.
  • Issue of T.C / Students & Staff Address Maintenance.
  • Supply of Stationery items to all Depts. according to Indent Maintenance of all Stationery items and Office materials and Students record notebooks.
  • Books, Uniforms, Lab Coats and calculator for First Year UG Students.
  • Assisting to prepare the indent for purchase of Lab materials as sanctioned by Chairman.
